As 2021 comes to a close, I think it’s important that we reflect on the past year and set our intentions for the next. So much in my life has changed and I’m thankful for all the growth I experienced. I’ve had many amazing photoshoots, adventures, and outings with friends this past year. 2021 has definitely taught me that I have to live my life for myself and do what is best for me.
One huge step I took this year was moving back to my hometown of Red Deer, Alberta. I was so excited to move to BC as I thought it was a good opportunity to branch out with my photography and I’m also a huge fan of marine life. Unfortunately for me, I moved a few months before everything went into lockdown. When everything started opening up, I was in a different place with my life and photography. I thought that it was best for me to move back home where I’m with family and friends and just rethink a lot of stuff. I mean, I’m only 23! Here I am, living my best life and trying to get up on my feet again! I am very much a family person so being back in my hometown is amazing and definitely a mental health booster! Being back near my friend group is also a huge plus.
I’m thankful for all the experiences I had in 2021, all the photoshoots and adventures that took place. I photographed my first rainy session, a family session with a baby, and a best friend shoot. Quite a few firsts this year! I photographed many dogs, and cats, and hope to photograph more unique pets this coming year. I’m very thankful that I can still pursue my passion even in this difficult time and keep on growing as a person and as a photographer. I can’t wait to continue making people smile with my photos!
My Goals for 2022:

- Pick up my camera more
- Be there for friends and family
- Self-care and self-love
- Photograph more unique pets
