This is Tornado. He was a beloved cat that lived his life well. I was actually there when Tornado was born! I remember my family and our family friends, huddled around a closet in their house as their cat gave birth to some wonderful little kittens. When I got the call to photograph Tornado, I couldn’t believe that they still had him! And I was so honored to be the person who had been there at the start of his life and the end. There were a couple of scheduling hiccups and feelings of “he’s not like how he used to be” which is so very natural. As I pushed to have a session one Sunday afternoon, I’m so incredibly happy that I did. Tornado and his pawrent said goodbye the very next day. Tornado and his family mean so much to mine and I even teared up some as I said goodbye to him that day. He may not have been in his prime when we took the photos but it is still a moment in his life captured to be remembered and loved by his family. We will forever remember you, Tornado.
